My own DnD Monster Manual
My own Monster Manual for D&D.
I’m always annoyed with what monsters go into a Monster Manual, so why don’t I design my own book? This would be the monsters that go into MM 1 and 2 (I think 2 books is enough)
I’ll later add descriptions of the monsters that changed, otherwise they are much like the D&D monsters from previous manuals.
Note that many monsters have Variants, and many of those variants are known to many D&D lovers, BUT many of those names aren't really looking ANYTHING like their old version anymore.
For example the Digester is now an upgrade of Ankheg, it looks like an advanced Ankheg that can spray acid, the normal Ankheg loses this ability. I just used the names because they sound familiar and I like to be creative with monsters.

Mythika
All creatures from Mythika grouped in the group they belong to.
Note that many creatures belong to different groups in the real myth, I changed them around in many cases, especially with the plant and ooze group, at which there are very few in real mythology so I had to be creative.
All these names come from real-mythology/folklore/fantasy/cryptid legends and stories. If you are into mythology but don’t recognize a name, you probably can find it right here: https://abookofcreatures.com/
Note that Oni aren’t real creatures in Mythika, they are demonic spirits that possess other creatures and turn them into very different monsters, while still looking like its host former form, they gain demonic features and become bigger.
Leprechaun are different from Gnomes because each of them has a magical sweat that does something when inhaled by other creatures, Leprechauns sweat will bring luck and turns creatures greedy, Clurichauns sweat will turn creatures into addicts and ma

Mythika Monster Group List
All Enemy Monsters and Bosses from Mythika collected in Groups.
All enemies are from Mythology/Fantasy Stories and Cryptids.

Mythika Part Two (African, American, Australian)
MYTHIKA THE GAME PART TWO
Very much like an enhanced Lufia game, with many new features. Especially the gold-cave feature is enhanced and increased, making the game very replayable.
LIST OF ENEMIES (All Cryptids and Mythology/Folklore monsters)
You can find all the names on Wikipedia, while I changed many creatures around and based many looks on fan art of creatures I’ve seen and on Game-Appearances (for example, the Alraune I use from Castlevania) Most of the designs and ideas I have in my head though, are from my own imagination and ideas.

What use does this list hold to you? Well there are many ideas in there with mythological/cryptid monsters for your own game, it also places similar creatures together, so if you need an upgrade for your own created game or RPG you can see which monsters perfectly match with each other.

Mythology Creatures List 2014/2015
These are all the mythology monsters you just have to learn about! It is far from complete but I'll add more monsters in time.
Some creatures I really find boring or non-interesting so I left them out of my list. The most famous examples of this are the Hippogriff and Mermaid (there are much more interesting merfolk out there) but for the rest most creatures from myths, legends and cryptids are here. (At least the ones you should learn about and which I really want to see more in games)
For pictures of MANY of these creatures check my pinterest page here --> http://www.pinterest.com/sincubus1982/

List of all important and cool mythological beasts
A list of MOST important and cool Legendary Creatures from Myth, Folklore and Cryptid lists.
If you know all from this list you can call yourself a Pure Monster Addict!
I wished more computer and card games used all of these monsters.
I for one would love a new Lufia-Like game with more adult graphics and all these monsters as cool sprites.
I would love good and cool art for all these creatures, too bad most artists only draw the overused vampires, werewolves and greek creatures... I hope more artists draw the less known myth creatures in the future and that Batibats, Karkadanns and Enenra's become just as famous as boring Zombies, Harpies and D&D Dragons.

Monsters from unknown legends
Are you also tired of the same old creatures and mythic monsters appearing in every product, game, book, movie and story?
Well, here is the perfect solution for you!
A list of hundred lesser known monsters that people forgot about or didn't know about at all.
No more endless appearances of Zombies, Werewolves, Gorgons (Medusa Version), Minotaurs, Goblins, Harpies, Vampires, Griffons, Sea Serpents, Phoenixes, Rocs, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Ghosts, Mermaids, Lizardmen, Cyclopses, Wraiths, Wyverns, Giants, Satyrs, Hell Hounds, Imps, Trolls, Ogres,  Balrog-like Demons, Krakens and especially D&D-like Dragons anymore, some more creativity would be very, very welcome in games/movies and stories, we've seen everything the cuddly vampires, sexy werewolves and mindless zombies do already, it's time for something fresh to take over.
Some monsters which used to be in this unknown-monster list were released from it in the past few years, I’m talking about creatures like Succubus/Incubus, W

Game Project Mythic monster list
I always love to create/sketch my own games, only on paper of course cuz it is impossible to create my own RPG alone.
This would be my perfect list of enemies and friendly monsters.
The game would be something like Lufia II, the but art-style would be more mature and less cartoonish.
All the enemies from the game would come from mythology and folklore, and some come from lovecraft, alice in wonderland and other such fairytales.
NORMAL ENEMY MONSTERS
With very hasty and short discription (not finished yet)
- AATXE (fiery bull spirit monster burning with vengeance)
- ABAASY (4 armed demons that ride wingless, six legged, 2 headed drakes into battle)
- ABAIA (enigmatic giant moray eels that guard lakes and all creatures in it)
- ABAO A QU (shapeshifting oozes that feed on charisma and often shape into dragon forms)
- ACHERI (little girls dressed as native americans that spread diseases)
- ADARO (shark-men pirates)

======================================================================

Most famous monsters would be in it, though I replace a lot of monsters for others, many of those are probably fan-favorites but I don’t care, I really hate some famous monsters, there the most famous monsters that I replaced or removed.

Ogre – They would be overkill for me, there are many ogre-like monsters in my book that are much more interesting like Merrow, Oni, Trolls, Ettins and Cyclops. Ogres themselves are in the book but as larger versions of normal Orcs.

Hill Giants – Can ANYTHING be more boring them them? They are replaced by Cyclops in my MM.

Black Dragons – Replaced with Grey/Fang Dragon, acid breath is taken in by Green Dragons which also live in Swamps as well as in Forests.

Blue Dragons – Replaced by Purple/Deep Dragons and Behirs are also dragons that are blue, live in deserts and use electricity.

Hobgoblins – While most Orcs are stupid brutes, some of them have the Hobgoblin war techniques and strategies in their blood, so no need for this boring race.

Grick – What is this silly creature? Why is it so popular?

Angels and most other Gentle/Good creatures end up in their own manual (examples are Pegasus, Azer,  Gold Dragon, Silver Dragon, Bronze Dragon, Stone Giant, Solar, Unicorns and such gentle creatures that mostly aren’t hostile)

Templates – No templates in my MM, they deserve their own book.

Normal Animals – Also get their own Manual, which isn’t called MONSTER manual, no horses, dogs and other such animals in my Monster manuals.

Humans, Tieflings, Dwarves, Gnomes, Halflings, Wood Elves – Most playable races end up in another manual

Devils and Yugoloths – They are still there, but I just called them all Demons, the Devils that became demons kept their old behavior, demons aren’t all chaotic brutes, they can also be strategic like Devils, I just never liked the Yugoloths and Devils group, though I loved the different species of Devils. Most Yugoloths are out as they look too much like other monsters anyway.

Pit Fiend – Too much like Balor which I liked more, maybe I give the Balor a upgrade which is called Pit Lord.

Cornugon and Malebranche – They are kinda replaced by the Demonic Gargoyle named Nabasu.

Nalfeshnee – Of all famous demons I like them least, though they aren’t gone entirely, the Fiendish Ettin looks a lot like the Nalfeshnee, but with two heads and without wings.

Kuo-Toa – Not really gone, but very different. They are just underdark variety of Sahuagin, slaves for their Aboleth Masters.

Grimlock – Derro kinda replace their behavior and story

Night Hag and Sea Hag – Kelpies kinda replace the Sea Hag, having the same behavior and appearance in one of their natural looking forms, the Night Hag’s appearance (though with green skin) is used for the Green/Bog Hag and their dream haunting is giving to the Oni.

Hippogriff – Really? We need another Griffon? I really dislike the, never want them in another Monster Manual.

Jackalwere – Too much canine humanoids already, never liked them, why are they even famous in D&D?

Other Lycanthropes – Wereboars maybe get a place when I make up my mind, Werebears are much like my Ragebear Firbolgs and Weretigers come too close to Rakshasa in appearance, I don’t like such clone creatures.

Modrons and Giff’s – No silly techno monsters in my Manuals! Get out of here!

Ochre Jelly – Sorry but I like Green Slime more.

Slaad – Never liked them and I think there are too many frog-like humanoids already, their implant-ability is taken by the Pod Demon in my D&D world, which are a upgrade of Hezrou which look much like Blue Slaad.

Thri-Kreen – Too much like the Xill, and I never cared for them.

Xorn – How many burrowing monsters do you need? I gave their hunger-for-crystals behavior to the much cooler Crysmal.

If you are into mythology but don’t recognize a name, you probably can find it right here: abookofcreatures.com/

Note that Oni aren’t real creatures in Mythika, they are demonic spirits that possess other creatures and turn them into very different monsters, while still looking like its host former form, they gain demonic features and become bigger.

Leprechaun are different from Gnomes because each of them has a magical sweat that does something when inhaled by other creatures, Leprechauns sweat will bring luck and turns creatures greedy, Clurichauns sweat will turn creatures into addicts and make them drunk, Gancanagh’s sweat will turn creatures that smell it into lust-full berserkers that only want to serve the Gancanagh and Far Darrig’s magical sweat makes creatures laugh uncontrollable, so they can’t defend against his attacks, it also makes them careless. Gnomes on the other hand are more elemental-based.

Valkyrie are both angels and fallen angels, those who got corrupted by the Rider of War have fallen from grace and became Fallen Angels. This list doens’t contain gentle creatures so Angels (like Guardian Angels, Erotes and Seraphims) are not included here.

Well thanks for the compliment!
And of course i'd like to know all about portuguese monsters! The more I know the better! :-p
If they are just as cool as the Basque ones I found (Aatxe, Gaueko, Tartaro) then they make a great addition to the collection!

The ones that immediately jump to mind are:

Moura Encantada (Enchanted Moura) - one of our oldest and most beloved legends, they're beautiful women bound by a curse to guard particular places and that only show up during certain times of the year. They promise to give their treasure to the person who breaks her curse, but they always fail and their curse is doubled as punishment en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enchante…

Portuguese Werewolf - in our version they're poor souls cursed to run around at night and only attack those who try to stop them (they have to cross 7 hills, 7 cemeteries, 7 churches, etc that night, otherwise they'll die). Though a rare few are really bloodthirsty and will hunt down unbaptized children and other loners they may come across. They usually avoid lit places and streets, or blow the lights off so they can cross
If you have 7 boys born in a row the last is fated to become a werewolf when he turns 13 (and a witch or Peeira in the case of girls), taking off his clothes in the middle of a path (especially a crossroad) at night (usually every friday) and hanging them on the highest tree before assuming a beastly shape (usually of a dog or wolf). Or you can roll around in the dirt of a crossroad (or fall asleep there) at midnight to become the last animal that laid there (which means you can turn in anything from a wolf or a dog to a horse, donkey, boar, ram, hedgehog, etc)
To break the curse you can either make the werewolf bleed or grab the clothes and burn them. Both highly dangerous because they will drive the werewolf mad and bloodthirsty

Peeira - technically a female werewolf or wolf fairy, they're actually regular women (occasionally with really hairy legs) who are the wolves' companions/guardians/shepherds and can communicate with both wolves and werewolves. Usually they're only seen in the distance, surrounded by wolves, steering them away from human settlements or their flocks. But a rare few seduce men to become food for the pack
Like their male counterparts they're "cumprir o fado" (=fulfilling the fate/curse) and often return to their families and duties during the day. Both often fear their secrets to be found out, the men because that can lead their animal side to target people as a revenge or to run away to never be seen again, and the women because that can force them to live with the packs forever (outside of the whole population lashing at them in fear)

Coca - each region developed their own interpretation of the creature over the centuries, ranging from anything between a dragon to a boogeyman. But usually it's always associated with the skull and 3 burning orifices that represent the head (the eyes and mouth) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coco_(fo…

Trasgo - a kind of domestic goblin/imp with a red cap closely related to the asturian trasgus en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trasgu, they like to cause all sorts of trouble and mischief. But here they're also associated to the souls of unbaptized children who like to play pranks on adults

Fradinho da Mão Furada - a kind of domestic goblin with a red cap and a hole on each palm, they often sneak in the bedrooms at night through the keyhole, sit on your chest and cover your face with his hands (you don't suffocate because of the holes) to cause you nightmares. But if you manage to grab his cap he'll pay large sums to get it back and stop pestering you (it's also said he helps around the house or grants favors every now and then)

Marine Woman/Man - very similar to the tritons and other 2 legged mermaids, the main difference is they can walk on land and often enjoy taking sunbaths on the beach, grab fruit and steal fish from lone fishermen, or occasionally use the echos of the cliff caves to sing or play music. They're also known to predict the weather and coming storms (or sing them into existence according to some interpretations) and ruin nets and boats if upset
They were considered so commonplace, there are 2 laws passed by the king in different occasions. One claiming that any large marine mammal found dead on the coast (dolphin, whale, coca, marine men or musaranha (haven't managed to find what that last one is)) belongs to the crown. And the other saying that all offerings to the marine folk should be delivered to the crown so the army could do the distribution all at once
*it's believed the marine men were actually seals that once lived along the portuguese coast. Which also matches the description the marine men weren't afraid of approaching boats and people while on sea, but would run away from them on land*

Gambozino - the portugese version of the Snipe Hunt, its description ranges from anything from a bird or a fish to a hedgehog, a firefly to even a marine dragon or an underground plant. I mentioned it because it's name is still widely used when someone tells you to fetch something that doesn't exist (or to hunt for an item that's nowhere near the place they told you to look) =P

Adamastor - technically a marine giant of insane proportions invented by the poet Camões, we count it as an important part of our literary mythology en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adamasto…
